How to Resize Images

Step1 – Input Images

Click “Add File(s)” or “Add Folder” to import the images or the folder containing the images you want to resize. You can also drag them to or copy and paste them to the file queue. After you input the images, you can see some details of the images like filename, location, size date created & date modified. If you click on a image listed, you can preview it on the right with more info like file type, dimensions & color mode.

Step2 – Choose Resizing Settings

Click “Effects” and in the “Resize” tab, check “Resize“, then you can perform some resizing settings. You can choose the filter you need from the “Filter” dropdown menu according to your needs of quality and speed. There are 3 ways to resize the images. Check the one you need and there are more settings that can be made.

Resize in Pixels: enter the values for width and height you want, or you can choose a standard size from the presets.

Resize in Percentage: enter the percentage you want to reduce or enlarge the images, or you can choose a standard percentage size.

Resize based on one side: if needed, you can also define the Pixels for only one side of the image, or choose the standard pixel size. During conversion, our image resizer will automatically adjust the other side to keep the original ratio of the image.

There are more adjustments you can make like flip, rotation and watermark & text insertion. Remember to click “OK” When you finished the settings in each tab.

Step3 – Choose Conversion Settings

By default, the output folder is the same as the source folder. Click “Options” and in “Conversion” tab you can change it. You can also choose to overwrite or rename the file if a name conflict exists in the output folder. In “Misc” tab, you can choose whether to prompt confirmation message box and play reminder sound.

In the “Output Format” menu, you can choose the image format you want and click “Encoder Settings…” to adjust compression, quality, color mode, etc. of the format you choose.

Step4 – Start Resizing

When you have finished all settings, click “Convert” to start conversion. You can see a “Status” window showing the conversion info of the photo being processed and the overall progress bar. When the conversion is complete, you can click “Open output folder” in the prompted window to directly find your resized photos.
