Ways to Create Slideshow from Photos & Images
You may have taken so many photos and save those memorable moments in your hard disk, so why not take a step further by making a slideshow out of them? Here we provide several ways to create slideshow from your photos and images.
1. Free Photo Slideshow Maker
Free Photo Slideshow Maker enables you to reminisce on special memories in a cozy or stylish manner via weaving together your photos and favorite music into a slideshow, recreating the delight in memories dramatically.
Step1 – Input Image
Click “Step1: Add Pictures” to select images for slideshow making. You will find the selected ones displayed in the task list. To adjust their order, drag and drop those images to the wanted place. To delete pictures from the list, use “Clear”. You are also allowed to view the detailed info (file type, dimensions, color map count and color) of any picture by left click.
Step2 – Add Music
To add background music to your slideshow, use “Step2: Add Audio”. In the activated explorer window, choose the audio file and click “Open”. For those who want to create silent slideshow, just skip this step.
Step3 – Set Delay Time, Bitrate, Transition & Frame Rate/Size
To specify how long the pictures and transitions delay, enter the numbers in “Pictures delay (seconds)” and “Transitions delay (seconds)” boxes. “Random effects” is used for applying random transition effects between each picture. Both frame rate (30/1; 25/1; 15/1) and Frame size are adjustable to suit your needs. You can control the output quality of the slideshow by choosing a value from “Bitrate”. If “Break when no pictures” is checked, the slideshow will stop when all pictures are displayed. To preview the slideshow during the conversion process, check “Preview while encoding”.
2. Online Slideshow Maker
PictureTrail.com probably has the largest collection of cool looking designs and styles for creating a slideshow. The only problem is their annoying sign up process. You have to enter in useless information like your birthdate and you have to click through several ads before you get into the main part of the site.
3. Google Picasa
Picasa is another free program from Google that you can use to create slideshows of your digital pictures. With Picasa, however, you cannot export a slideshow out to a single file and share that with others. You can only create and play slideshows of your pictures in Picasa itself.
4. Microsoft PowerPoint
Although not free, Microsoft PowerPoint can be used for making slideshows and you can use it to create a simple slideshow without installing other programs. However, there you won’t find so many different slideshow variations and background music.
